What is pigment printing thickener?
Pigment printing thickener (PTF-W) is a milky white viscous liquid composed of a primary form of acrylic polymer dispersion. PTF-W is a chemical additive used to increase the viscosity of coatings and printing pastes. It mainly improves printing and coating performance by increasing the viscosity and thixotropy of the system.
Role of Reactor In Production of PTF-W
1. Reaction Vessel
Reactor provides a sealed container that can carry out chemical reactions safely and efficiently. When producing thickeners, raw materials need to be mixed and reacted under specific conditions to produce the desired thickener molecules.
2. Temperature Control
The chemical reactions used to produce thickeners often need to be carried out within tightly controlled temperature ranges. Reactor is equipped with a heating and cooling system that can accurately adjust the reaction temperature to ensure the smooth progress of the reaction and the quality of product.
3. Mixing System
The stirring system inside reactor can evenly mix the reactants to avoid local overheating or uneven concentration. Different types of stirring paddles can be selected according to material characteristics and process requirements.
4. Pressure Control
Some thickener production processes require pressurized conditions. Reactor can withstand and adjust the internal pressure to ensure that the reaction is carried out under optimal pressure conditions and improve the reaction rate and yield.
5. Reaction Time Control
By controlling the reaction time, reactants can be ensured to fully react and the purity and performance of the product can be improved. The design of reactor allows long-term stable operation and is suitable for continuous or batch production of thickeners.
