1. What Are the Characteristics and Applications of Silicone Rubber?
Silicone rubber has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, ozone resistance, high tensile strength, high elasticity, excellent electrical insulation properties, transparent, colorless, moisture permeable, non-toxic and odorless.
Due to the excellent temperature resistance, siliicone rubber has been widely used in electric power, electronic, communications and other fields, such as high temperature ovens, aerospace, automotive, instrumentation and other fields.
2. Purpose of Mill in Silicone Rubber Production Line
In order to remove moisture inside the wire and accelerate the cross-linking reaction inside the wire to improve the temperature resistance and electrical properties of silicone rubber. Usually, the baking temperature of silicone rubber is between 120℃ and 150℃, and the time depends on the thickness and length of the silicone rubber. Generally, it takes 4-8 hours.
3. Importance of Baking
Silicone rubber needs to be used in a high-temperaure environment, if ther is moisture inside the silicone rubber, the moisture will expand at high temperatures, causing the shape of the silicone rubber to deform, thus affecting the electrical and mechanical properties.
After the mill baking, the internal corss-linking reactiono of the silicone rubber is accelerated, which improves the high temperaure stability of the material. At the same time, it also avoids the negative impact of moisture expansion during subsequent processing and use.
In addition, the baking process can also eliminate some bubbles, organic matter and volatile matter, improve the reliability of silicone rubber, make the performance more stable and reliable, and extend the service life.
