Main Equipment of Hot Melt Adhesive Film Production Line
1. Raw Material Supply System
Includes automatic feeding system for providing hot melt adhesive particles or powder. Accurately measuring the supply of raw materials is an important part of ensuring product quality.
2. Twin Screw Extruder / Single Screw Extruder
Used to heat and melt the raw materials. Twin screw extruders are often used in high-performance film production, which can provide better mixing effect.
3. Die and Cooling System
Die: used to flow out the molten adhesive to form a uniform film.
Cooling Roller or Cooling Belt: Through water cooling or air cooling, the molten film is quickly cooled to solidify into a film.
4. Winding Device
The cooled film is rolled into a large roll for subsequent processing or use.
5. Cutting and Slitting Machine
Used to cut the produced film into the required width or size, usually used in conjunction with the winding device.
Main Process Steps of Hot Melt Adhesive Film Adhesive Film Production Line
1. Melting and Mixing
Hot melt adhesive raw material is heated to its melting point using a twin screw extruder or a single screw extruder. After melting, the raw materials are evenly mixed to ensure the quality and uniformity of the adhesive film.
During the extrusion process, necessary additives (such as tackifiers, stabilizers, plasticizers, etc.) are added to improve the performance of hot melt adhesive film.
2. Extrusion Film
The molten hot melt adhesive is extruded through the die head, and then quickly cooled and solidified by a cooling roller or a cooling belt to to form an adhesive film.
The thickness of the extruded adhesive film can be precisely controlled by adjusting the gap of the die head and the control of the cooling equipment.
The width and thickness of the film should be adjusted according to specific needs to adapt to different application scenarios.
3. Cooling and Cutting
The molten adhesive film is quickly cooled by the cooling belt or cooling roller to become a solid film.
The cooled film will be rolled into a roll by the winding equipment. When rolling, it is necessary to ensure that the surface of the film is smooth and free of bubbles.
During the film production process, the film thickness, surface smoothness, adhesion strength, etc. need to be precisely controlled.
4. Surface Treatment and Coating
Sometimes, in order to improve the adhesion of hot melt adhesive film or further enhance its performance, the film may be surface treated, such as a coating layer, chemical treatment, etc.
In some applicatioons, hot melt adhesive film may need to be coated with an adhesion promoter or functional coating on the surface to enhance the adhesion with other materials.
