Design of Vertical Ribbon Mixer
1. Transmission System
Double vertical ribbon mixer has the rotation motion of the spiral shaft and the revolution motion of the rotating arm along the cylinder wall. The revolution and rotation adopt separate transmission methods. Both parts use a fixed cycloidal pinwheel reducer with a large speed ratio and high efficiency. They are transmitted to the two rotating arms through bevel gear distribution and reversal.
2. Cylinder
The container of the double vertical ribbon mixer is made into an inverted cone shape. Its purpose is to ensure that the material has enough alternate circulation under the lifting action of the screw, so the container has an appropriate cone angle.
3. Rotating Arm, Center Rod and Screw
The spiralizer consistsof a screw and a spiral blade. It is direct working part for mixing materials. In order to ensure the stiffness of the screw, reduce the weigh and facilitate the welding of the spiral blades, the spiral blades are welded in a right-hand direction with a certain diameter and pitch. The upper end of the screw is connected to the cross arm, the lower end is connected to the central tie rod, and both sides are symmetrical. The connection form of this triangular symmetrical force-bearing component is force-balanced and improves the stress-bearing state of the component. The lower end of the screw can rely on the tension support of the central tie rod to be independent of the container, and there is no need to set a fixed bottom support structure at the bottom of the equipment.
4. Discharge Valve
The bottom bearing of the double vertical ribbon mixer is eliminated, which is convenient for discharging materials. This machine is designed with a discharge valve consisting of two overlapping fan orifice plates. The valve has a simple structure and does not occupy space. The size of the discharge hole can be controlled at will. It is easy to operate. The material can be completely discharged and can be easily disassembled and washed.
Working Principle of Vertical Ribbon Mixer
The two asymmetrical screws of vertical ribbon mixer rotate to lift the material upward, and the rotating arm rotates at a slow speed, the material outside the spiral enters the stud to carying degrees, thereby achieving continuous renewal and diffusion of the material in the entire circumference. Two streams of material is lifted to the upper part, and thenmerge into the central cavity to form a downward material flow, which fills the vacancy at the bottom, thereby forming a triple mixing effect of convection circulation. Theoretically, the more stirring spirals the better mixing effect. The equipment generally adopts a plum blossom-shaped dislocation valve, which is closely connected to the bottom of the long spiral, effectively reducing the mixing dead corners. The driving modes are manual and pneumatic. According to user needs, butterfly valves, ball valves, star unloaders, etc. can also be installed.
