Jacketed Reactor
1. Structure
Jacketed Design: There is a jacket space betwee the outer wall and the inner wall of the reactor. The temperature inside the reactor is controlled by injecting heating or cooling media (such as steam, wter or thermal oil) through the jacket.
2. Advantages
- Uniform Heating and Cooling: The jacket provides uniform heating and cooling effects and is suitable for reactions that require precise temperature control.
- Easy Operation: The jacket system is relatively simple and easy to install and maintain.
- Large Heat Exchange Area: The jacket provides a large heat exchange area and improves heat transfer efficiency.
3. Applications
Applicable to various liquid phase reactions, polymerization reactions and chemical processes that require stable temperature control.
Coil Reactor
1. Structure
Coil Design: Spiral coils are installed inside or outside the reactor, and the temperature inside the reactor is controlled by injecting heating or cooling media through the coils.
2. Advantages
- Fast Response: The thermal inertia of the coil system is small, and the temperature control response speed is fast.
- Flexible Design: The coil can be designed into different shapes and sizes to meet different reaction requirements.
- Low Cost: The coil system is relatively low in cost compared to the jacket system, especially for small reactors.
3. Application
Applicable to reaction processes that require rapid temperature changes, such as exothermic reactions and processes that require rapid cooling.
