1. ∑-type Agitator
Structural Features
- ∑-type agitator is wide and thick, and can provide strong shear and compression forces.
- The design of ∑-type agitator is usually large and has a wide surface area, which can effectively roll up the material and push it to both sides.
Function and Application Scenarios
- ∑-type agitator is suitable for kneading medium and high viscosity materials, such as rubber, plastics, resins, sealants, inks and certain food materials (such as dough or candy mixtures).
- ∑-type agitator can provide uniform mixing during kneading, ensuring that the materials are fully mixed in a high shear environment.

2. Z-type Agitator
Structural Features
- Z-type agitator usually with two alternating blades, so that the materials can be fully turned and mixed in the mixing chamber.
- Compared with ∑-type agitator, Z-type agitator is narrower but longer, and can be stirred deeply inside the material.
Function and Applicable Scenarios
- Z-type agitator is suitable for kneading high-viscosity materials, such as rubber, adhesives, clay, paint and high-viscosity chemical materials.
- The design of Z-type agitator produces strong shear force, which can effectively handle hard and viscous materials.
- Z-type agitator is more suitable for handling materials that require high shear force, and the strong shear force and compression force it generates during the kneading process can effectively break and disperse material lumps.

3. Fishtail-type Agitator
Structural Features
- Fishtail-type agitator is narrow at the front and gradually expands at the back. Fishtail-type agitator design is more flexible and can take into account the shearing, stirring and conveying functions of the materials.
- Fishtail-type agitator usually has strong thrust and can push the material to move along the kneading groove.
Function and Applicable Scenarios
- Fishtail-type agitator is mainly used for medium and low viscosity materials, such as colloids, food materials, certain coatings or chemical raw materials.
- Due to the special shape, fishtai-type agitator can provide a gentle mixing effect for the material during the kneading process, reduce excessive shearing of the material, and is suitable for some materials with low shearing force requirements but high mixing uniformity.
- Fishtail-type agitator design is more suitable for handling some materials with good fluidity, especially for occasions that require gentle handling, such as some foods or low-viscosity materials.
