The earliest Sigma Mixer equipment dates back to the 19th century. One of the famous companies was Ransomes and Sims, based in England, who in the mid-19th century manufactured a machine for mixing and pressing pigments, which can be considered one of the earliest Sigma Mixers.
Sigma Mixer structural features:
1. Sigma Mixers generally use a universal chassis for easy installation.
2. Use helical gear or hard tooth surface reducer to ensure smooth transmission with the host, low noise and long service life.
3. The mixing paddle and the inner wall of the chamber are made of SUS304 stainless steel or SUS316L stainless steel to ensure the purity of the product.
4. The shaft seal has advanced structure and good sealing effect. The uniquely designed vacuum box balance structure ensures that no black material will be ground out.
5. Integrated electrical control (main engine operation, hydraulic cylinder turning, hydraulic cover opening and constant temperature control) and temperature control and temperature display to facilitate operation and process control.
Sigma Mixer working principle:
• The kneader is a pair of Σ blades that cooperate and rotate to produce strong shearing action, so that semi-dry or rubbery viscous plastic materials react quickly to obtain uniform mixing.
• Sigma Mixer is mainly composed of five parts: mixing part, machine base part, hydraulic system, transmission system and electronic control system.
• Sigma Mixer has two Σ-shaped blades. The speeds of the two blades are different. Different speeds can be set according to different processes. The most common speed is 42/28 rpm.
• Sigma Mixer can be designed in heating or non-heating form according to requirements. Heat exchange methods usually include: electric heating, steam heating, circulating hot oil heating, circulating water cooling, etc.
• The discharging methods of Sigma Mixer include hydraulic cylinder dumping, ball valve discharging, screw extrusion, etc. The cylinder body and the parts in contact between the blade and the material are made of SUS304 stainless steel to ensure product quality.
