1. Heating Efficiency
- Electric Heating Reactor: Fast heating speed, precise temperature control, suitable for small-scale or rapid reaction production.
- Thermal Oil Heating Reactor: Suitable for large-scale production, can maintain stable high temperature, but the heating speed is relatively slow.
2. Temperature Range
- Electric Heating Reactor: Suitable for medium and low temperature reactions.
- Thermal Oil Heating Reactor: If higher temperatures are required (such as above 200℃), thermal oil heating reactor is more suitable because it can withstand higher temperatures without being easily damaged.
3. Energy Consumption and Cost
- Electric Heating Reactor: Low initial investment, but long-term use of electricity cost may be high.
- Thermal Oil Reactor: Thermal oil system has high initial investment, but energy consumption may be more economical in large-scale production.
4. Application Scenario
- Electric Heating Reactor: If it is a laboratory or small batch production, electric heating reactor may be more suitable.
- Thermal Oil Heating Reactor: If it is industrial production, especially in the occasion of long-term continuous reaction, thermal oil heating reactor may be more suitable.
5. Maintenance and Safety
- Electric Heating Reactor: Relatively simple and easy to maintain.
- Thermal Oil Heating Reactor: The heat transfer oil system needs to check the oil quality and pipeline regularly to prevent oil leakage and uneven heating.
