Stainless steel reactor motor configuration
May 06,2021 JCT
The stainless steel reactor is generally a tank reactor with a stirring device. It is a typical equipment commonly used in the production of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, dyes, coatings, etc. The jacket also has the meaning of interlayer, which is mainly to introduce heating medium inside the jacket So as to complete the function of humidification or heating in the kettle.
Today I will tell you how to choose a reactor motor.
1. Whether the material is sticky;
Determine the torque according to the maximum viscosity of the material (the reaction is dynamic and the viscosity will change), the blade diameter and frontal cross-sectional area of the agitator, and the speed of stirring to determine the maximum torque of the motor at this speed to prevent overload. The maximum torque of the selected motor should be more than 1.5 of the maximum torque required for the stirring reaction to be safe, and to ensure that the steps are always carried out at the required speed. When choosing a motor, you should care about torque, not power. Motors of the same power, at the same speed, the torque is not necessarily the same, especially AC motors and DC motors, there is a big difference. As far as a single motor is concerned, the maximum torque is different at different speeds.
2. Rotation speed requirements;
According to economic premises. For example, if the speed requirement is not high, you can choose a geared motor; and choose a larger power motor and then use a frequency converter to adjust the speed. This can save costs.
3. Power size;
4. Is there a limit to the power supply, and how much is the limit;
5. Whether the motor is explosion-proof;
Flammability and explosiveness of materials and products. If the materials and products are flammable and explosive, explosion-proof motors should be selected.
6. Whether frequency conversion speed regulation is required or manual regulation;
The above several items need to provide the parameters of the merchant when purchasing the reactor or the reactor motor.
