Hydrothermal reactor operation rules

The hydrothermal reactor is a pressure vessel, and the maximum heating temperature should be less than the maximum reaction temperature of the corresponding type of reactor, generally not exceeding 180°C. Deformed or cracked reactors cannot be used.
The specific steps are as follows:
1. Pour the reactant into the polytetrafluoroethylene liner, and ensure that the total volume of the feed is less than 80% of the volume of the inner tank;
2. Make sure the position of the bottom gasket of the kettle body is correct (the convex surface is facing down), then put in the PTFE bushing and the upper gasket, first tighten the kettle cover, and then use the screw to tighten the kettle cover until it is tightened;
3. Place the hydrothermal synthesis reactor in a dry box and raise the temperature to the required reaction temperature according to the specified heating rate. The maximum reaction temperature must be lower than the safe use temperature;
4. After the reaction is over, cool to room temperature naturally before taking out the reaction kettle for subsequent related operations;
5. The hydrothermal synthesis reactor should be cleaned in time after each use, the inner tank and the outer jacket should be separated, and dried at 50℃ to avoid corrosion. Particular attention should be paid to clean the seals of the kettle body and the kettle cover line, and take care to prevent them from being damaged by bumps;
6. It is strictly forbidden to use low-boiling volatile solvents, such as acetone, benzene, hexane, etc., as the solvent for solvothermal reaction, which may cause an explosion due to excessive internal pressure;
7. If gas is generated in the reaction system, such as nitrogen, hydrogen and other low-soluble gases, it is not suitable to use hydrothermal/solvothermal reactions; if students are uncertain about the system, if the reaction is really necessary, it should be carried out under the guidance of the instructor .
8. The reaction time should be arranged reasonably, and the reaction should not be carried out overnight as much as possible.
Hydrothermal reactor cleaning
1. Pickling method. Add a 1:5 mixed dilute solution of nitric acid and water prepared in an open container into the hydrothermal reaction kettle. The heating temperature shall not exceed 140°C. The ratio of the mixed solution of nitric acid and water shall be strictly controlled.
2. The cleaning reagent can also be selected according to the type of laundry to be washed, and under the guidance of the instructor, ensure safe and appropriate cleaning methods.
