Reasons and elimination methods of reactor seal leakage

As the main reaction equipment in the chemical industry, the stainless steel reactor is widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, food and other industries. The material is 304 stainless steel. The normal pressure stainless steel electric heating reactor has rapid heating, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, sanitation, and no environment. Pollution, electric heating stainless steel reaction kettle, no need for automatic boiler heating, easy to use, low price and other characteristics.
The reactor is often used for a long time, and leakage may be found, but many people are not sure how to find the problem?
cause of issue:
Machinery Seal
1. The end face of the dynamic and static ring is deformed and bruised;
2. Operating pressure and temperature are unstable, and hard particles enter the friction pair;
3. If the end-to-surface specific pressure is too large, the friction pair will be thermally deformed;
4. The amount of shaft string exceeds the target;
5. The sealing ring material is incorrectly selected, the pressing force is not enough, or the V-shaped sealing ring is installed reversely, and the sealing performance is lost;
6. The vertical error between the axis and the end face of the static ring is too large;
7. Leakage of inlay seams in inlaying or bonding the moving and static rings.

Packing seal:
1. Improper position of the oil ring or blockage of the oil circuit cannot form an oil seal;
2. The stirring shaft is worn or corroded at the packing, causing the gap to be too large;
3. The gland is not tightly pressed, the quality of the packing is poor, or the use is too long;
4. The stuffing box is corroded.

Approach:
Machinery Seal
1. Replace the friction pair or re-grind;
2. The material of the sealing ring should be selected, the installation should be reasonable, and there should be sufficient pressing force;
3. Adjust the specific pressure appropriately, strengthen the cooling system, and take away heat in time;
4. Stop the machine and re-align to ensure that the non-verticality is less than 0.5mm;
5. Adjust and overhaul to make the displacement of the shaft reach the standard;
6. Strictly control the process indicators, particles and crystals cannot enter the friction pair;
7. Improve the installation process, or the amount of interference should be appropriate, or the adhesive should be easy to use and firm.

Packing seal:
1. Replace or repair the mixing shaft and process it on the machine tool to ensure the roughness;
2. Tighten the packing, or replace the packing;
3. Adjust the position of the oil ring and clean the oil circuit;
4. Repair or replace.
