What are the sealed forms of stainless steel reactors?
There are three types of seals commonly used in stainless steel reactors: packing seals, mechanical seals and magnetic transmission seals.
1. Packing seals are usually used under the conditions of low rotation speed and shaft seal leakage requirements are not very high, the pressure can reach 30MPa, but the rotation speed is controlled by the type of packing and line speed. When P ≤ 6.4 MPa and speed ≤ 100 rpm, a single-layer stuffing box structure without oil lubrication can be used; when P> 6.4 MPa and speed> 100 rpm, a high-pressure oil pump should be considered for enhanced lubrication, and multiple types of packing structure boxes are used At least 7 layers of stuffing box, and need to consider chrome plating on the stirring shaft seal to increase the wear resistance of the shaft, or set a sleeve to protect the stirring shaft from wear.
2. The mechanical seal is used under the condition of high speed and low shaft seal leakage requirements, and its operating pressure is not high. It is generally used in occasions below 6.3 MPa, which is inconvenient to maintain and use, and the price is also high.
3. The transmission seal is usually used under the condition that the shaft seal has high leakage requirements. It turns the dynamic seal into a static seal to achieve zero leakage. It is not suitable for high temperature conditions, and its cost is high and maintenance is inconvenient.
