Silicone sealant is divided into two types: 1-part component and 2-part component. The two groups of product have different components, usage methods, curing methods and application fields.
Differences
1. Packaging
1-part Component Silicone Sealant: Packed in a tube and ready for use.
2-part Component Silicone Sealant: It is divided into two components, which are placed in two barrels respectively. They need to be mixed in proportion to achieve the desired effect.
2. Ingredients
1-part Component Silicone Sealant: Mainly contains base polymer and cross-linking agent as well as catalyst and tackifier.
2-part Component Silicone Sealant: There are two components, A and B. Generally, component A is the base polymer and filler, and component B is the cross-linking agent, catalyst and filler.
3. Curing Method
1-part Component Silicone Sealant: Solidifies from the surface inward, and can cure as long as it comes into contact with moisture in the air.
2-part Component Silicone Sealant: It can be cured at room temperature. The higher the temperature, the faster the curing.
4. Field of Use
1-part Component Silicone Sealant: More stuitable for bonding and fixing electronic components, such as car lamp bonding, electronic component fixation and switching power supply fixation.
2-part Component Silicone Sealant: Suitable for sealing large surfaces and can enhance the overall performance and waterproof performance of electronic products.
