1. Planetary Paddle Motion
The core of double planetary mixer is its specially designed paddle, which is driven by a drive system to perform a "planetary" mixing motion:
- Rotation and Revolution: Each paddle not only rotates along its own axis, but also prbits aroung the central axis of the mixing container. This allows each area of the mixing process to fully contact the mixing of the materials.
- Multi-axis Rotation: The paddle rotates at high speed at multiple locations in the mixing container, creating strong shear and friction forces, which quickly break up and disperse the materials.
2. Shear and Dispersion Action
The paddles of double planetary mixer generate shear forces through high-speed rotation. These shear forces can break up particles, lumps and colloids in the material, allowing the material to be quickly and evenly dispersed, avoiding the deposition or aggregation of solid particles. For materials with higher viscosity, such as adhesives, paints, clays, etc., double planetary mixer can effectively break up agglomerations in the raw materials and ensure uniform dispersion of particles.
3. High Speed Stirring and Friction
- High Shear Force: When the stirring paddle rotates, it can generate high shear force, when makes solids and liquids, liquids and liquids react or mix quickly, especially when dealing with high-viscosity or high-density materials.
- Friction Effect: The friction of the stirring paddle also helps to accelerate the uniformity of the material, especially when solid particles or droplets need to be dispersed, the friction can promote the refinement of the material.
4. Mixing and Homogenization
- Uniform Distribution: Double planetary mixer ensures that each material particle can be fully mixed through its special motion trajectory and efficient shear force, and the viscosity and specific gravity differences of the material are effectively balanced.
- Homogenization Effect: It is particularly suitable for mixing adn homogenizing high-viscosity materials, and can achieve uniform dissolution, dispersion, emulsification and other effects, ensuring the stability of the final product quality.
5. Adjustable Speed and Mixing Time
- Variable Speed Function: Double planetary mixers are equipped with adjustable speed motors, allowing users to adjust the rotation speed of the stirring paddle according to the properties of the material. This helps to process at different speeds in different stages (such as premixing, dispersion and homogenization).
- Precise Control: The ioerator can set the mixing time as needed to ensure that each material is fully mixed within the appropriate time.
6. Enhaust and Degassing Function
- Vacuum Mixing: Double planetary mixer is equipped with a vacuum system, which can remove air or bubbles from the material during the mixing process to prevent the bubbles from affecting the product quality. It is particularly suitable for high-precision chemical, pharmaceutical, coating and other industries.
- Degassing Effect: Through vacuum or appropriate stirring rate, the bubbles generated during the mixing process can be effectively eliminated, making the final product more uniform and smoother.
Structure of Double Planetary Mixer
1. Transmission Structure: It consists of a main shaft and a planetary stirring paddle. The stirring paddle can be a plurality of stirring blades of different forms, and can also be equipped with a scraper and a dispersion disc.
2. Mixing Cylinder: It is usually cylindrical and has the characteristics of wear resistance and high temperature resistance.
3. Motor and Drive System: It is used to drive the rotation of the main shaft and the stirring paddle, and is usually equipped with a frequency converter to control the speed.
4. Control System: It is used to adjust the speed, stirring time and other operating parameters of the double planetary mixer. Some double planetary mixer can also equipped with a temperature control system to meet different production needs.
5. Pressing Machine: 5L double planetary mixer is equipped with a pressing machine on the same platform, and only needs to push the mixing cylinder horizontally. Large double planetary mixer needs to be equipped with pressing machine. JCT will be equipped with multiple mixing cylinders, which is convenient for discharging while double planetary mixer can continue to operate.
