There are two main types of hot vulcanized silicone rubber commonly used for sealing, one is dimethyl silicone rubber MQ, and the other is methyl vinyl silicone rubber MVQ.

Dimethyl silicone rubber is an earlier developed variety. Although the operating temperature is wide, ranging from -60 to 250 degrees Celsius, the vulcanization time is long, the process performance is poor, and the high temperature pressure increases.

It has been gradually replaced by methyl vinyl silicone rubber. This is because a small amount of unsaturated vinyl groups is introduced into methyl vinyl silicone rubber, which makes a qualitative leap in its vulcanization process and finished product properties, especially in terms of heat aging resistance and high temperature compression deformation resistance.

In the silicone rubber series, methyl vinyl silicone rubber has the largest variety and largest output.

Silicone mixing mainly uses a kneader and a silicone open mill. The kneader requires vacuuming and heating functions. The open mill requires electroplating for the drum.
