How to extend the service life of the reactor

For the reactor, static sealing is usually used at the leakage points of the head flange and the cylinder flange, connecting flange, manhole, hand hole, thermometer connection, sight glass, pressure gauge connection, etc., because the sealing surface is Relatively static. Static sealing is a better solution, and various forms of static sealing gaskets are generally used.

The leakage point in the gap between the stirring shaft and the kettle body. Due to the relative movement between the rotating stirring shaft and the static kettle body (upper head), to prevent the leakage of the medium, a dynamic sealing device: mechanical seal and packing seal must be used.

1. Packing seal: simple structure, easy to install and disassemble the packing, but due to some fatal weaknesses of the packing seal, it has a short service life, under high parameter conditions (high temperature, high pressure, high speed, high vacuum, etc.) not applicable.

2. Mechanical seal: The mechanical seal is widely used in the reaction kettle. According to the specific working conditions of the reaction kettle, special structural design, material selection, and lubrication cooling measures can be considered for the mechanical seal of the kettle to meet the process requirements.

Compared with soft packing seal, mechanical seal has the following characteristics:

①The sealing state is very reliable in long-period operation, the leakage rate is very small, and the leakage is generally only 1/100 of the soft packing seal;

②The long service life in oil and water media can generally reach 1 to 2 years or longer, even in chemical media, it can usually reach more than half a year;

③The friction power consumption of the mechanical seal is small, and its friction power is only 10% to 50% of that of the soft packing seal.
